I went to a popular Yakitori Izakaya in Kichijyoji, Yakitori Monden.

The owner’s parents run a sake brewery, Monden Shuzo, so the restaurant serves many kinds of local sake, including Monden.

Right away, I thought to order sake first. However they have Nama-shibori watermelon, so I chose it. Since I love cucurbitaceae! Yap, the taste of the drink was great.

Otoshi was cucumber with niku-miso.

It was quite spicy more than it looked.

Next was refreshing Monden tofu salad.

Chicken nanban was big with a lot of the tartar sauce.

Finally here came sake, Monden.

I ordered Yakitori too; chiken thigh, asparagus, chicken tail, and quail eggs.
Chicken neck with miso sauce and a lot of green onion was very tasty!

〆(shime) was Paitan ramen.

The restaurant has everything, like Yakitori, salad, deep fried dishes, and rice dish and noodle as 〆(shime) .

And more than anything, I thank for that it opens until midnight 2am.
