I had dinner at Sonezaki teppan shokudou
, Hanatare, which has opened in Osaka for the first time, and serves one of the special dishes in Kobe,
Nagata-yaki.
There is a mini teppan for per seat.
While I had drunk Ume-shu, I had sauteed mountain enoki mushroom with butter.
Finally, here came Nagata-yaki !
This was my first time to have it.
It looked and smelled like usual Okonomi-yaki.
However, taste and texture were completely different.
When I ate it, its impression was close to Monjya-yaki.
It was very thin, and its outside was crispy, but inside was chewy.
What to say… Nagata-yaki is a child of Okonomi-yaki and Monjya-yaki.
Its appearance comes from dad (Okonomi-yaki), and its personality comes from Mom (Monjya-yaki).
Personally, I totally prefer Okonomi-yaki to Monjya-yaki, so I will choose Okonomi-yaki instead of Nagata-yaki.
