Kichijoji “Mikaduki Shubo”

Because of my job, after 12am, I pursuit of healing good meal and good sake, I had late dinner at a very popular Izakaya, Mikazuki-shubo, which opens until midnight, and is close to Kichijoji station.

The water of life for my tired brain and body.

Three kinds of Otoshi;

Delicious edamame Okayu which is made of Koshihikari rice, Gorobei-mai grown in Saku-shi, Nagano-ken and very soft water of Tarumizu hot spring, Jyukaku in Kagoshima-ken.

Fruit tomato

Stewed mackerel with miso

Even though Otoshi, they were so tasty!

While I do not like Okayu very much, I felt that after a long time I ate very delicious Okayu, which I would want to eat again.

I ordered some side dishes.

Edamame

Potato salad with smoked egg

Today’s Otsukuri; greater amberjack, fat greening, bonito, and so on.

And there were three kinds of Soy sauce; sweet soy sauce made in Kumamoto-ken, raw soy sauce, and homemade Ponzu.

This sablefish saikyo-yaki was superb.

Marinating, grilling…well, everything was great balance.
It was my favorite taste for me, who have decided to eat sablefish saikyo-yaki for the last supper.

Chicken nanban (half size)

They have half size dishes, so I am happy to be able to eat many kinds of dishes.

Grilled scallop with green seaweed and butter

Skirt steak and grilled Mizu-Nasu eggplant

They were great with mushroom and tamari soy sauce, and very delicious.

Boiled dumplings

Today’s miso soup cooked at the whim of the chef

Its ingredients were a lot; tofu, burdock, maitake mushroom, and Japanese parsley.
I felt to eat miso soup after having drinks was the best!

The restaurant’s desserts also great.

Homemade rich creme brulee was awesome, because it was good balance of sweetness and surely rich. It came with vanilla ice cream made me happy too.

They have everything, tasty tsumami, meat , fish, vegetables, rice, and desserts. All dishes are great, and open until 2am is incredible!

For dracula, Mikazuki-shubo is helpful and thankful
Izakaya.
